General Foreman - Highways

We are recruiting a General Foreman to support with the management of new road construction and drainage works.

We are looking for a candidate with experience of working within the highways/road construction sector and exposure to working on local government or National highways projects.

The contractor is a tier one business that also self-deliver works and have a number of up and coming schemes on a local authority framework.

This position will start anytime within the next 5 weeks and can be paid on a CIS basis.

Duties include:
• Management of sub contractors to ensure working safely and to specification
• Checking Risk assessment and method statements are in place for works
• Ensuring permits in place to break ground and all CAT Scanning requirements met
• Daily dairies, site inductions and tool box talks
• Supporting site management team with productivity
• Problem solving, dealing with site queries and dealing with site logisiticvs
